Reception Attire - Flamboyant Lehenga or Rich designer saree?

              When it comes to the reception attire , the modern South Indian brides prefer a Lehenga or a heavy worked designer saree.This dress brightens the stage along with the decors.The important part in a lehenga is draping of the dupatta.There are many styles of draping, but please make sure that you have 2 to 3 trials of your Lehenga dress.

Before the reception , take ample time to get ready. As the draping of the dupatta requires some skills, (Lehengas for the reception are only being used in the south during recent years) be sure that you take a trial along with your stylist. Sufficient time to dress up will make you feel confident and also give you a tension free smile on the stage.

Straight Cut Lehenga:

The straight cut lehenga is very body fitting in nature. The silhouette has a narrow shape that flows straight down with little to no flare. The straight cut lehenga is most suitable for lean and petite body types, as it tends to hug the body, showing off every curve.A ruler-shaped woman is someone who has an upper and lower torso that is equal in width with an average bust, an undefined waist, a flat buttock and slender legs. A straight cut lehenga that resembles a wrap-around skirt is advisable for straight-figured women.  Choose a choli with a neckline that falls below the collarbone so as to give your upper torso an elongated look.

5.Circular or Flared Lehenga:

Circular Lehenga Cholis are ankle length long pleated lehenga held around the waist. The lehenga is graceful and flares around the wearer.Traditionally, all Circular lehengas were lehenga type umbrella shaped. 

This type of Lehenga best suits a cone-shaped woman (exactly opposite of a pear-shaped one, with a broader top and a narrower bottom)  Hence, balancing both the parts in the right way is the trick. Choosing a flared or a circular lehenga which has a large circumference along with lots of pleats near the waist is the best option. Keep the choli not too ornate with preferably a plunging neckline.
